LATE 19TH CENTURY RAJASTHANI TABLE WATER FOUNTAIN

Large cooler for flowers and fruit with a circular shape in crystal, mirror and silver. Six columns of blue crystal support the glass dome that serves as a mechanically filling water tank. The cooler was made for the Raj Palace in Jaipur, where it was used as the table center piece during official banquets, and usually decorated with fresh fruit and flowers. The piece dates back to the end of the 19th century.
